Warren G. Harding is considered one of the worst presidents in American history. However, his doodles reflect the energetic Art Deco aesthetic of his time: turned sideways they seem to represent the dynamic, upward thrust of the age, with its skyscrapers, feats of aviation, and conquest of ether by radio broadcasting.
